In May 2022, Oshish was invited to attend UNESCO’s World Higher Education Conference in Barcelona as a UNHCR Youth Delegate. This was an incredible opportunity to meet student leaders from around the world who are dedicated to advocating for and supporting their peers in making higher education more accessible for those with lived experiences of forced displacement.

She also participated in a day-long workshop prior to their presentation focusing on mental health, media and messaging, and team-building. Oshish moderated a session called “Student Mobilization for Increasing Access to Higher Education for Refugees” and shared about ISOW's work to support youth affected by conflict.

Dr. Brockett also attended and moderated a session called, "Humanitarian-Development Nexus: Policy and Advocacy for Inclusion of Refugees in National Higher Education Systems."
